This is all about the worst oils spill disaster in Philippine history. A Petron Corp. chartered single hull, SOLAR 1, carrying 2.1 million litres of oil sank in Guimaras Strait in the Panay Gulf, 7.3 nautical miles southwest of Unisan Island, the southernmost isle in the group of islands forming Guimaras.
